OUR virtual penpal PROGRAM
Fostering Virtual Connections
Our goal is to foster virtual connections between 8th/9th grade students in the Philippi Village and our team of high schoolers. We meet over Zoom to catch up with the younger students in casual conversations. In the two weeks between our Zoom meetings, we exchange photographs of handwritten PenPal letters via email. The Amandla project coordinator manages the distribution of our letters and oversees our connections from directly within the Philippi Safe Space.
